Oli-Ola™ is an olive extract with a guaranteed level of hydroxytyrosol, a very potent form of polyphenol.
On April 8, 2011 the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) stated the following positive opinion allowing the first health claim for olive polyphenols:
“The panel concludes that a cause and effect relationship has been established between the consumption of olive oil polyphenols (standardized by the content of hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives) and protection of LDL particles from oxidative damage."
