From origin to formulation, Nexira showcases natural ingredient mastery

Discover what’s new in emulsification, texture and nutrition at Fi Europe

At Food Ingredients Europe 2026, Nexira, a global leader in natural ingredients and botanical extracts, will demonstrate how mastering its value chains translates into tangible benefits for formulators: carob secured at origin, acacia gum emulsions that deliver more with less, and acacia fibers proven to withstand demanding beverage processing.

Clean label, supply security and functional nutrition remain at the top of the agenda for food and beverage manufacturers. With direct control over its raw materials and more than 130 years of expertise, Nexira helps formulators meet these expectations with natural ingredients backed by data, traceability and dedicated application support.

“Our customers expect more than an ingredient. They want reliable supply, consistent quality and proof of performance in their own applications. Whether it is carob sourced and processed in Morocco, an emulsifier that achieves full stability at a fraction of the usual dosage, or fibers that remain intact in acidic beverages, our message at FIE is the same: we master our ingredients from origin to formulation,” says Charlotte Wallart, Nexira’s Food Product Manager.

Carob: from origin to ingredient

Following the acquisition of Keragum in July 2026, Nexira can source and process carob directly in Morocco, the world’s leading carob-producing country. Close partnerships with local cooperatives provide direct access to premium carob seeds, harvested at full maturity for optimal quality. The seeds are transformed into locust bean gum (LBG) close to their source, in a modern facility in the Casablanca region, through an entirely mechanical process with no chemical treatment. The site is FSSC 22000, halal, kosher and organic certified.

For food manufacturers, this integrated model means greater visibility over quality, full traceability and long-term continuity of supply. Combined with Nexira’s application expertise, it makes LBG a reliable texturizing solution for dairy, ice cream, plant-based alternatives, desserts and sauces.

Coming soon: born from this integrated value chain, a new high-quality locust bean gum reference is on its way. Visit the booth to be among the first to hear about it.

Eficacia™ Advanced: Lower dosage, Higher efficiency

Eficacia™ Advanced is Nexira’s 100% natural acacia gum emulsifier in a highly granulated form. Designed for flavor houses and beverage emulsion manufacturers, it delivers stable, high-quality emulsions at lower dosages, reducing formulation costs while simplifying processing:

acacia gum
  • Cut costs by up to 50%, through formulation savings and reduced supply chain costs (storage, transportation)
  • Lower dosage, from 5% versus 16% for standard acacia gum, with high quality and stability over time
  • Superior efficiency in high oil load and preservative-free emulsions
  • Highly granulated for easier processing: free-flowing and easy to dose, fast wetting and dissolution with no lumps, low foaming and dust-free
  • Clean label, declared simply as “Acacia Gum”, backed by a secured supply and high quality control standards

Acacia fibers: built for real-life

Consumer demand for fiber keeps growing, driven by converging needs: closing the fiber gap, improving the nutritional profile of everyday foods and drinks, and supporting digestive comfort for GLP-1 users. With Fibregum™ and inavea™, Nexira offers a complete range of acacia fibers combining high digestive tolerance, clinically supported prebiotic benefits and excellent formulation flexibility. 2026 also marks the 30th anniversary of Fibregum™.

New at FIE: not all fibers survive. A new comparative study evaluates the stability of acacia fiber against inulin and FOS in acidic conditions and after heat treatment, two constraints in functional beverages. Compared to other fibers, acacia fiber has proven to be more stable, with a fiber content that remains constant throughout the manufacturing process and shelf life. For formulators, this means confidence that the fiber content declared on pack is the fiber content delivered to consumers.
